Remove tracking parameters from copied links
Links copied from emails, ads, and social apps often carry tracking such as utm_source, fbclid, or gclid, or hide the real address behind a redirect. Hotstash's Clean Link transform removes the tracking. Copy Clean Link also follows redirects to the real page, then copies the short, clean address.
Launch offer: $4.99 instead of $9.99 until 1 January 2027.
What gets removed
- Every parameter starting with
utm_(utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, …). - Ad and social click IDs such as
fbclid, gclid, dclid, wbraid, andgbraid. - Redirect wrappers, so you get the page itself instead of a tracking hop.
Parameters the page needs, like a product ID or search term, are kept.
On Mac
- Copy the link.
- Press ⌘⇧V, right-click the link, and choose Copy Clean Link. Or select it and apply the Clean Link transform.
- Paste the clean link.

On iPhone

Questions
How do I remove utm parameters from a link on Mac?
Copy the link, open Hotstash with ⌘⇧V, and use Copy Clean Link or the Clean Link transform. utm_ parameters and click IDs like fbclid and gclid are removed.
Does it break the link?
No. Only known tracking parameters are removed; parameters the page needs are kept.
Hotstash is an independent app. Other product names belong to their owners and are used only to compare features.
